About Our Internship Program
We are excited that you are considering applying for an internship with Seva4Everybody! Our review committee looks forward to getting to know you better throughout the process and answering any questions you may have. The internship will begin September 2017 and run through December 2017.
As a Seva4Everybody intern, you can expect to be exposed to a wide variety of leadership and community advancement opportunities, some of which may include:
As a Seva4Everybody intern, you can expect to be exposed to a wide variety of leadership and community advancement opportunities, some of which may include:
- Leading teams to organize and host socially and economically-minded community events
- Brainstorming and working with local community leaders to determine collaboration opportunities
- Using your creativity to further Seva4Everybody’s mission (i.e. graphic design, photography, music, athletics, etc.)
- Running the social media and promotional campaigns for all projects over the course of the internship
- Helping manage the finances of a small not-for-profit organization
- Presenting your findings at a year-end Signature Project
Qualifications
The Internship Program with Seva4Everybody is geared towards undergraduate students and high school seniors from all majors and educational backgrounds who are passionate about making a positive impact on their community.

How many hours per week will this internship require?
The internship is structured to provide you with a flexible work schedule that allows you to dedicate as much or as little time as is possible given other academic requirements. At a minimum, you should expect to dedicate 5 hours a week to internship activities.
Where will I be working from?
Although the intern will spend the majority of their time working remotely, there will be regular check-ins with the Seva4Everybody team. The intern will also be expected to attend the majority of events, which traditionally take place on weekends around the metro-Detroit area.
What kind of development opportunities will be available for me during this experience?
Throughout the internship, you will be exposed to a variety of developmental opportunities that align with both your own and the teams' goals for you. Some examples of guidance you will receive may include:

How soon will the applicant be notified if they are accepted?
All applicants will be contacted to notify them of their status and a final decisions will be made within 1 week of the application deadline.
Will there be an interview?
Yes, there will be a virtual interview (i.e. Skype, Google Hangout, FaceTime) with selected candidates before a final decision is made.

- Formal mentorship: Including personal and professional goal setting and periodic assessments against timelines
- Resume creation and reviews: Including creating a template that works for your goals, creating powerful action-oriented language, and ensuring alignment to desired positions and professional goals
- Interview Guidance: Including mock interviews, critique of body language, and coaching on interview answers
- Networking: Including access to Seva4Everybody’s professional network, assistance in creating a “30 second elevator pitch”, and developing a personal and professional narrative to share with professionals
